Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Adjustments
When we come to the adjustment of the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2, there is plenty of adjustment on the headband. We can see they click out and it gets little numbers and they hold their notch very well. The ear cups are full and swivel a little bit forward there. They go totally flat if we want to lay them on our chest.
turtlebeach.com |
It is really lovely when we are resting the headset while we are not using the headset. They will fit any head shape and ear cups also go in and out just a little bit. If we look really far inside on the ear cup, we can see a little rubber notch in there so they kind of go back there and sit back nicely rather than getting the plastic. So as far as adjustment This wireless gaming headset is doing a really nice job.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Comfort
When we put the headset on our heads the clamping force is right at medium. Sometimes it may be a little bit over medium but it is not saying that they’re tight by any means. So, the headset does stay on the head without getting loose when we move our heads. So, it is not tight or not loose and they still feel very nice.
The ear cushions are very plush and comfortable. They are really pleather on the inside and cloth on the outside. So, they really lock the sound in which means in other words the ear cushions are doing good passive noise isolation.
amazon.com |
When we look at the shape of the ear cushions It has a unique shape, and it has really got to suit that perfect ear shape. Because when we are wearing the headset then it’s going to sit on the ears instead of it being completely oval or round with that unique shape. The ear cushions can be taken off and it will be easy to take them off and put them back on as well.
The headband is also very soft and plush up as well. We won’t really feel the headset on the top of our heads while we are wearing it. This wireless gaming headset’s headband is nice and comfortable like that. As far as comfort it is great for a wireless gaming headset with a unique shape ear cushions and clamping force. They are pretty comfortable. Because we can use the headset for a long time and the ears aren’t really sweating as well.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Build Quality
The build of the headset is pretty much all plastic. So, this is a lightweight wireless gaming headset over a heavy-duty just completely metal headset. Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 comes at 290g so that underneath one pound.
turtlebeach.com |
That’s very nice for a wireless gaming headset. When we talk about the plastic if we bend them and twist the headset up to test the stress of this headset, we can twist this whole thing up. So that plastic just rolls we don’t have to worry about the headband.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Features and Functions
as far as features and functions on the headset on the back left ear cup we can see the volume wheel and the chat wheel which we can control the volume and the chat volume separately. These wheels are like rubber and they’re very firm. They do have some grip on there.
turtlebeach.com |
Below these wheels, we have the mode button which we can cycle through the standard turtle beach signature sound. Bass mode, Treble and Bass mode, and the Voice mode which is going to control pretty much the bass and the highs between each setting. Then we have the power button, and we can also press this while they’re powered on. When we press that power button again it is going to activate that Turtle Beach Superhuman Sound.
Then underneath it, we have USB-C charging which we can charge while we are using them but unfortunately, the cable that comes with the headset is short. so, the cable isn’t going to work for it. Whenever we are charging while using the headset, we have to take our own long USB-C cable and it will work. While they’re charging there is a light, and it will blink. Whenever they’re done charging the light will go off. On the front, we have a microphone that can flip up to mute.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Wireless Dongle
When it comes to wireless quality, we have the new best wireless gaming headset here. Even we can go clear across the house through several walls and be around 50 feet away and we can actually still get audio. That’s remarkable. So, this headset us a great wireless range and this one actually clips out less. Because this with a nano adapter is getting the great range as this giant base station which is incredible.
turtlebeach.com |
The wireless works on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch wirelessly while it’s docked. No wireless connection for the Xbox console from this headset. Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 did reduce the size of the wireless dongle. So, we don’t have a massive dongle out of our console like in other wireless gaming headsets. It’s not too small and it has a perfect size.
amazon.com |
As far as pairing the headset up for wireless, we have to just put the dongle in whatever device we’re using to power up the headset. Then we have to give it about a second or two and then it will actually pair up for us easily. We don’t have to hold any sort of button down and that automatically pairs. They’re stating you get up to 15 hours of battery life with this headset. But that’s dependent on the volume then whatever features that you have activated on it. However, we can play longer gaming sessions with this battery life of the gaming headset.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Sound Quality
The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 are using 50-millimeter drivers and a frequency range of 20 to 20 000 which is what we see in a lot of gaming headsets. When we’re using a wireless headset with a range like that everything is powered. We definitely get a lot more punch out of them and that is what we can get out of these. We can get that punch on every platform.
The cool thing about this is with the mode button on the controls is work as just a quick EQ setting. Turtle Beach Signature Sound, which is kind of flat, detailed, and delivers basic sound. Then as I mentioned before we got Bass and Treble, Bass which is self-explanatory, and then Vocal Boost which is more like a high boost. There are multiple options for us to choose from.
As far as the bass when we put it on the Bass Boost mode and the thing started actually rumbling. It wasn’t like this dirty just muddy base like others. This base was a hard-hit base that just we felt vibrate on the head. It was just so awesome and so immersive sounds with a solid hit.
amazon.com |
Treble Boost, so it’s balanced with the environment in gaming. But we can still get that bass like the gunshots are very clear. When we are playing shooting games, we can hear the footsteps from any direction like behind, to the side or even coming up in front with the Bass and Treble mode. It was so cool with the detail and immersion of it. So, between the settings, we can choose what we want out of all of them and it’s nice to have the options like this.
The headset being with that basic frequency range of 20 to 20 000 getting that kind of sound from these was pretty nice, especially for gaming. So as far as gaming Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 is great for gaming. Whatever gaming mode like a story mode or a campaign mode or as a multiplayer competitive shooting game we can say this gaming headset is really suited for any situation.
If we are listening to music with this wireless headset, it has two different areas. If you’re listening to Hip hop, EDM, Dubstep anything like that really kind of hard-hitting and kind of aggressive music. But when we came over here to listen like rock or alternative whatever some of that stuff, we can really feel kind of like we are in front of the stage or at a show. Because it gets that full body. So as far as the music it is depending on the genre that they will suit.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Superhuman Hearing Mode
Let’s see one of the features that were really popular with the first-generation stealth 600 and it’s just going to be as popular with Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 as well and it is the Superhuman hearing mode. It is with the power button as I mentioned earlier, we can just press it again while the headset is on, and we can get the Superhuman hearing mode.
turtlebeach.com |
The Superhuman hearing mode is pretty much like the 7.1 surround sounds mode that other gaming headset companies will call it. This mode is enabled to enhance audio and make it easier to pick out sounds like reloads footsteps or other environmental cues. In other words, It does it reduces all your sounds and brings out the Highs. Like the Mids, Bass and everything Is just off in the distance and then we got the Highs.
It let you know that opponents are near while it does take away from the natural sound of most games. It actually does a great job of kind of compressing all those sounds and just bringing everything forward and making it a lot easier to hear footsteps and teammates yelling, opponents yelling, gun firings, grenade explosions, and vehicles like that. So, we can hear everything and it’s a little bit overwhelming. So, if you are playing you know competitive battle royale games you’re probably going to really love the Superhuman hearing mode.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2: Mic Quality
The microphone on the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen can be flipped down and flipped up to mute. The cool thing about it is if we just flip it up halfway it’s going to mute. When it mutes it doesn’t give any noise but it’s cool. Because we have to just flip it halfway to get quick mute.
As an example, if you just want to get a quick mute like someone comes into your room. So, you want to talk to them really quick and you don’t have to flip the mic all the way up just halfway there and it will mute. Then you can bring it back down.
The other cool thing about the microphone is when we flip it down all the way out, we can tilt it in. So, we can just tilt it in a little bit closer to the mouth. If we did this, it has a little bit more richness of sounds and there’s more tone or warm tone to the sound. It kind of picks up the bass a little bit better when it’s closer to your mouth.
turtlebeach.com |
If we yell to the microphone, it doesn’t clip. So, Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 really did a great job with picking up the sounds in our voices. It picks up subtleties in our voice well. If you scream it doesn’t clip out and that’s a pretty miraculous feature. Even with it pivot pivoted in if we yell it still doesn’t distort. So, this is a pretty amazing microphone, and they improved the quality from the old version without changing the mechanism.
In some gaming headsets if you’re on full volume on the headset microphones tend to be so sensitive. They can actually recycle the game chat or the game volume that you’re hearing. As an example. if we are shooting a gun and it’s firing off really loud in the ear cup, the microphone can actually pick that up, and then your party chat will hear it. But on the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 when it’s full blast it’s extremely minor to the point where your friends are with you in the game. They will never hear our headset over their own audio feed. it’s very subtle.
The microphone does seem a little bit shorter, but the microphone is really cool. When we are gaming on this mic it sounds solid to the other ends. When we use the microphone, we don’t have to do any sort of adjustment in the software or on my device. So, it’s straight out of the box plugged and played. When the plug the headset into the PC with a USB-C cable and using the Turtle Beach App we also can make some adjustments to mic monitoring or sidetone as well. This microphone’s sound is one of the best in the market. It’s just like a phone call or whatever it’s just natural it’s balanced and it is so great.
Verdict
There are so many wireless gaming headsets under $100. But if you find an all-rounding performance wireless gaming headset that especially engineered sound quality for competitive multiplayer games like battle royale games. Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 is the best option.
