Are you annoyed by the cable on your gaming headset? Now you can try this wireless pair that gives you convenience or freedom of movement not worrying about the cable around your body.
From a feature standpoint, the SteelSeries Arctis 7 is one of the best wireless headsets around this in line with headset competition. We can not see an RGB on this wireless pair to preserve battery life.
The overall structure of this headset has a sleek and streamlined look and it has a nice sturdy aluminum frame. There is an adjustable ski goggle-like suspension band to make it extremely comfortable.
But the top headband is metal. So it is unlike the plastic construction on all other Arctis headset pairs. There are many controls on the headset. We can start with the power button and then a dial for a chat mix that lets us balance our voice comms or in-game volume with a tactile middle bump.
The battery indicator is the blinking color of the power button or the 4-bar battery icon in the software. on the other side has the microphone mute button and a smooth volume dial from zero to a hundred.

As I mentioned before earcups are made with an Airweave fabric that apparently is used in athletic clothing. Whether it is, it is very soft and comfortable that had no problems for using it a long period and playing long gaming sessions.
If you don’t like to use Airweave cushions, you can replace them with leather or lure cushions on the SteelSeries web. We can also find them not thick enough to compensate for the convex plastic housing of the driver.
So, we can feel that with our ears. The bottom of the headband has little padding that gives you nice comfortable. The swivel joints are also loose and there is no creaking and no pressure on the head.
There is an awesome self-adjusting fabric that is swappable and stretches a little bit. According to the reviewers and users, it is also a cool customization element definitely more unique than RGB lighting.
As a wireless headset, the Arctis 7 is slightly heavier than the non-wireless headset because of the battery and the other wireless components in the headset. but it is not a problem for the comfortable of the headset.
With this headset, there will not be an issue for people with larger heads because there are some width adjustments which is fine but unfortunately, we can not see much height adjustment on this headset.
When it comes to the clamping force is also nicely balanced for example when we use the headset we can feel the top of the headband but the headset is being sorted and supported by the ear cups on each side.

SteelSeries Arctis 7’s microphone is retractable that has less than usual flexibility so it stays in one position. But the microphone can bend in almost any direction we would like it.
When you pull the microphone out it is always on unless muted with a switch at the back. You can easily find the red LED to notice when it’s muted. This microphone is clear and detailed and got some better elements.
But it still, picks up those small sounds like keystrokes although they are muted. But in terms of comparing in this price range this microphone to other microphones, it’s clear and better.

Arctis 7 is a wireless gaming headset So when we talk about the wireless signal is actually awesome. If we got about a few meters with walls in between, it also worked without losing the signal.

So, in terms of clarity and not hearing any distortions or background noises. This Arctis 7 has a completely fine very good signal in the wireless department. We can also connect the headset with a USB mini-b eight-pin cable and a 3.5-millimeter input for audio sharing to listen to somebody else.
The micro USB port is only for charging and firmware updates. So it does not work without the wireless receiver but you can plug in the USB mini-b Aitken cable that ends with a 4-pole 3.5-millimeter jack.
So, the headset can be used with mobile devices or a controller without the need to power it on. The wireless receiver is working as a compact hub with a white LED at the front. If it is solid, the connection is fine, and if blinking the headset is either sleeping or disconnected.
On the compact hub, there is a pairing button on the side and on the back. There is a line in and out which is pretty cool because you can route your speakers into the hub and have it automatically switch between the headset. So, you can connect whatever device that has a 3.5-millimeter output into the hub that will then wirelessly transmit audio into your headsets.
Because if you want to connect your smartphone from the hub or like a Nintendo Switch that does not support USB audio but you can route that analog signal into the hub and you get that Wireless convenience without having to actually connect the headset directly into your device.

When we come to the sound performance in this headset we can say some EQ adjustments are always nice for competitive gameplay. But if you want to hear everything on a uniform decibel level just use the volume wheel to adjust your volume and as far as the surround sound experience with DTS X is usual. It expands the soundstage but you lose directional cues that are otherwise audible and stare and many important audio elements now get bad.
But the advantage with surround sound is a slightly larger immersion of your audio environment as with stereo things are a bit closer to you and closed off in this headset. But the stereo mode of this headset is actually quite nice with lots of detail on the high end. It gives you a brighter sound signature for competitive gameplay because you can pick up all the little things that make you aware of your surroundings. The mid-range is great and the bass is weak which most gamers actually prefer for competitor gameplay.
