HyperX Cloud Flight: Design and Features
The HyperX Cloud Flight is a black and red gaming headset that was built primarily of plastic except for the steel frame for the expansion of the sizes at a weight of 315 grams. Even the ridges inside of it are plastic. So this gaming headset feels substantially lighter than other gaming headsets.
There are 50 millimeters with great size earcups. So these earcups are gonna sit actually on your ear without a problem. Not only do they fit around our ears, but also they do a great job of noise isolation.
The earcups and the other side of the headband materials are made of leather, but the earcup cushions are pretty dense than the headband. The earcups can swivel 90 degrees. We can adjust the headband to make them way too big than any headset. The metal extensions make it feel a lot sturdier than it looks when you have them in your head.
When it comes to the outside of the earcups, They are done in a rubberized matte black and feature the HyperX logo. This HyperX logo only lights up in red and there are three options. Those are full-off, full-on, and the breathing effect.
There is an exposed red cable for that extra pop in color. It is also super stiff, so no worries about if it will drip. This is a very flexible headset that can stretch out and twist without worries.
There is no Bluetooth connectivity. so it only works with a USB dongle with a PC or PlayStation 4. Xbox for some reason doesn’t work so you would need to use the wired connection into your Xbox controller and also on Mac it works just fine.

HyperX Cloud Flight: Controls
On the left earcup has the microphone mute button that is really easy to approach to muting, because the entire left side is basically just a big mute button. We can hear a double beep when the microphone is muted.
We also can find the power button that also assigns to the lighting mode for either breathing effect or off to save the battery life. There is a 3.5-millimeter port for analog use for your phone or your console and a mini USB port for charging and microphone input. Cloud Flight is a luxury to be able to use these wired or wireless.
The right earcup has a volume adjustment port which is that the scroll steps are very soft making precise volume adjustments easy. So this will end up reducing or adding too much volume. These controls are very straightforward.
It also can controls system volume digitally in increments of 2 decibels. This is similar to what we can find on media controls on a keyboard. But unfortunately, there has not been any sort of battery life indicator.

HyperX Cloud Flight: Comfort
When we come to the comfortable of this gaming headset first of all as I mentioned before this is a lightweight wireless gaming headset. So as gamers, we can use these headphones for long gaming sessions easily without feeling the weight.
The earcup materials leatherette and memory foam are pretty dense. The interior foam of the earcups is a bit extra thick than the other gaming headset. So this helps to avoid any contact that is uncomfortable with that interior driver. So it feels nice and comfortable.
It also swivels to 90 degrees. So we can wear it super comfortably and also they are very comfortable to wear around the neck without a problem when we not working with the headset because of this swivel of the earcups.
The headband also has a really soft leather-like material like earcups. But the density on the foam of the headband padding is really loose than the earcups. Because it was filled with air as opposed to memory foam.
There is a little bit of clamping force, but it is not a problem for the comfortable of the headset. As I mentioned before, the headband can adjust than any headset. So if you have the biggest head, this gaming headset will fit on your head comfortably.

HyperX Cloud Flight: Sound Quality
When we talk about a headset, the priority question is how it sounds to work. The answer is HyperX Cloud Flight’s sound quality great exactly what you’d expect from the HyperX brand.
The audio environment is obviously a bit more narrow so it is a bit more reserved and as far as the liveliness of the sound, the sound signature is not flat by any means. But the actual stereo signal is fantastic and very good for directional cues. The sound is not muffled by virtual surround sound and all that this is a pure stereo signal.
So the sound is good, it’s detailed, it’s fun and it’s clear. It has easily the best bass response of any wireless unit. The mids and vocals are also really forward and come through also clearly. When gaming with this headset, you will have no problem picking up where everybody is located.
Not only for gaming Cloud Flight sounds great also for music and movies. The movies for bass this wireless headset handles like a champ. The music listening to him wirelessly with this is amazing. So we can try different genres and different songs with different ways from it because of the clarity.
Some wireless headsets suffered to do a little bit better job on the high end and separation. But Cloud Flights absolutely doing a great job over it in the bass Department.
The overall volume output is similar to the Arctis 7 as well which means we can use these at near or full volume all the time. If you want to know about the sound quality of the SteelSeries Arctis 7, I wrote a full review of the SteelSeries Arctis 7 in my preview post. So you can read that article by SteelSeries Arctis 7 Review: Best Gaming Headset Under 200$ click this link.
The wireless sound range on HyperX Cloud Flight is great. Even if we away two walls from the USB dongle, we can be heard without any drops and without perceiving any quality loss in audio. So this wireless headset has one of the best wireless sound quality on the gaming market.
HyperX Cloud Flight: Microphone
This microphone is also detachable like all HyperX cloud headsets. The microphone is really flexible for positioning and it sounds good as a gaming wireless microphone.
it has built-in noise cancellation, it tries to cancel out all the things in the background and like our surroundings. So it sounds pretty full got a decent bottom end.
Because of the modularity and mobility of this microphone, we can listen to music or talk to our friends while walking and do something else. Because the range is so amazing. There is absolutely no microphone quality loss when we are away from our working or gaming station.

HyperX Cloud Flight: Battery Life
amazon.com |
When it comes to battery life, there are 3 different battery lives. Mainly the battery life of this wireless headset is rated at an absolutely insane 30 hours with the lighting disabled.
The second one is if you use the breathing effect of the lighting that is rated for 18 hours. The last one is if you have it on full blast lighting the battery life is only 13 hours. So the choice is yours.
According to the users of this headset, The headset can be used for two normal days. But unfortunately, we can not use the headset while they are charging and there is no battery life indicator to check our battery life status. But there is a certain pattern to indicate the battery life.
when you go below 20 percent, it will only beep sound. if we press the power button three times and the glow on the side will blink every time it has 10 percent of the whole battery so if it blinks six times it has 60 percent left. But this will be inconvenient.
The headset will turn off after 30 minutes of inactivity which is great to preserve battery life, but we have to turn off the LEDs. Then the headset goes to sleep mode. if the headset is sleeping, the USB receiver dongle is blinking a red LED and if it turns on it went back online with a solid red LED

Verdict
When it comes to a summary of this headset, As I mentioned in my topic, this is a multi-purpose wireless headset that is very helpful to anyone. it’s really good at wireless audio from the HyperX brand. There is no surround sound and stick only with the stereo representation because you get the best details and just the best directional cues as well. There is also a lack of Bluetooth and comes with a USB dongle. The microphone quality is great as a wireless pair. The build quality is also doing a better job, because of the lightweight.
