We can find with Active Noise Canceling on the high mode as opposed to auto it actually got a little bit less than that. But the bonus is we will get about five hours off of the 15-minute charge which is fantastic.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition Review: Comfort
On the ear cups, We got the traditional leatherette covering up memory foam. It’s very plush and squishy you get the same stuff on the underside of the headband as well. They do have a good amount of room in the ear cups that the ears barely touch the inside at the very top of the ear.
So, when we put these on, they seal well, and they feel really great on our heads. They also feel very good in our hands as well, because they’ve covered. The top of the headband and the ear cups are really nice with a sort of woven fabric.

It feels good enough for most gamers and never felt too much pressure or pinching at the top of the head. But there is fatigue though once you wear these for several hours straight for long-term wear. Jawline pressure is very reasonable, and it didn’t have any issues right there.
As for sound isolation, there is good passive noise isolation. So, the ear cups never had them heat up or sweat, but I do feel them warm up. So overall the Bowers and Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition PX 7s have class-leading comfort and we can recommend them for you to give them a try.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition Review: Controls
On the back side of the right-hand ear cup are a series of controls and the power button. it’s one of those sliding power buttons kind of like a rocker switch which is very easy to use and turn on. Because we don’t have to press and hold it to turn it on. Then you’ve got volume up volume down and a middle button here which pulls all sorts of tasks.

So, it can play, pause, and advance skip depending on how many times we press it. It’ll also answer our phone calls or hang up or mute the caller. it’s sort of a jack of all trades master of-none button and it takes a little bit of getting used to. On the other side is one button and that’s for our active noise canceling.
It’ll cycle between off, auto, low, and high, and if you do a long press. It’ll actually put us into transparency mode. which allows us to eliminate passive noise isolation as the microphones will pump in our environmental audio when we don’t need passive or active noise canceling.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition Review: Transparency mode and ANC
When it comes to the transparency mode, it is very good in fact it’s about the closest to the AirPods Max. The AirPods Max is definitely the reigning champ for transparency mode but these get very close. This feature is an amazing experience. It sounds natural for the most part.
But if I am talking though we can hear ourselves and it sounds quite hollow which was a little bit funky. But on that listening to our surroundings is top-notch. Then there’s the noise canceling of the Bowers and Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition which is very good. There is this thing called a wear sensor that we lift up either ear cup our music will pause put the ear cups back on and the music resumes you can always turn this feature off within the app.

But it is not as good as the Bose or the AirPods Max or the Sony XM4. Those three are the best headphones in the noise-canceling field. it’s hard to get that good a lot of work went into that Bowers and Wilkins did well here though with the tight seal around our ear and music pumping into the headphones. So, we are not going to be distracted by our environment.
The active noise-canceling is ever-so-slight airplane cabin pressure it’s very minimal, but it is present though no hissing or noise experience. but for the performance, the active noise-canceling performance the Bowers and Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition can compete with the best of the best out of the market. So, it isolates our music really well. The microphone also canceled out noises to a great degree now with active noise-canceling.

We can also manage your noise canceling there but with the button on board. We can also rename the headphones as well. The Bowers and Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition headphones are obviously wireless headphones and they support aptX HD which is a nice audio codec. So, we are going to get good sound quality with a wireless connection and it’s also Bluetooth 5 which is the latest and greatest.
The Bluetooth connection was absolutely solid and It never had an issue with audio testing this for distance. We are able to walk around our houses without worry. These signals go through several walls as well. The videos also had zero syncing delays on both Apple and Android devices.
The most important feature this does have multi-pairing while this is connected to our Android phone. So, we can easily switch this to another previously connected device without the need to unpair and repair either device.

Actually, the wired connections there are two of them. There’s the standard 3.5-millimeter headphone cable which we could bump up to a quarter-inch jack if we wanted to. If we are plugging this into the Dragonfly USB DAC, we can use it with our laptop, desktop, or computer that sounds excellent.
We can bypass the DAC inside the headphones when we do that but if we don’t want to do that, we can plug in a USB cable go into the USB-C port of these headphones and listen that way. That’ll use the DAC inside the headphones which sounds very good.
The really cool feature is the headphone will also charge while we are listening which is something that most wireless headphones just don’t do. As for wireless pairing, they will pair to more than one device at a time. So, we could switch between our mobile phone and our laptop if you want to.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon Edition Review: Sound Quality
The sound quality is the best part of these headphones and they’re just so fun to listen to with this headphone. They’re just a much more natural-sounding headphone than say the Sony XM4s. They don’t have as much grunt in the bass as the Sony. But there’s still plenty of low ends and when we listen to bass-heavy tracks, we are going to get all of it.
It’s very deep and it’s very punchy, but it’s not overwhelming. As for the mid-range, the very meat of the mid-range right in the vocal range is extremely crystal clear and very present. It’s not overbearing in the mix, and they don’t push it out at you unnecessarily. It’s just there and very transparent.

Then there’s the treble region is a little bit on the aggressive side normally and it is quite so sizzling in the treble. But it’s not displeasing. It’s just a little bit more than actually enjoying it. It’s very revealing like the brassiness of trumpets the sizzle of a symbol or hi-hat. It’s all got a brilliant bright shimmer to it that almost goes over the edge. But they were great in it right at the last second. That’s where a lot of the excitement is coming from.
The frequency response graph works like a roller coaster. It starts high in the bass dips down a little bit in the mid-bass comes back up for the mid-range dips a little bit before the high end and then all the way up into the treble region. It gets a little bit pushed forward. When it comes to the call quality it’s doing a reasonable job of blocking out some of the exterior noise like the cars, the buses as well. But my voice sounds a little bit digitized and a little bit distant.
