The design and the build quality of this wireless gaming headset itself are very impressive. It really does look like an aviation-type headset that just looks like you would find these on a pilot. The headset is pretty much completely plastic and the little metal arms on the side are made of metal. It is almost as thick as a hanger.
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro has good durability because we can pull the headset all the way out to its full length stretches it out, and twist it up. Two wires are coming from the headband into the ear cups whenever we push it in as far as that adjustment on the ear cup then it starts pulling on that wire. But we don’t have to worry about these wire expositions. Because the wires also get fully extended when we adjust the ear cup.

There is a little knob as a volume wheel on the ear cup. As far as the weight they’re one of the lightest headsets compared with other Razer gaming headsets. The headset is incredibly lightweight, especially for a wireless headset right coming in at 320 grams.
The adjustability of We can see the headset has little metal arms connected with the headband into the brackets that slide up and down nicely and easily. There’s no dedicated swivel in ear cups but it’s on both of those arm brackets on the headband.
They adjust in and out and it just locks right into the shape of any head. So, we almost have swivels like a different kind of swivel beyond the traditional swivels to compare with other gaming headsets in the gaming headset market. So, the ear cups go more to the back, more to the front, and going to lock with plenty of adjustment and a very nice feature.
05. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Comfort
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless gives us great comfort while we wear this headset combine with the lightness of the headset and the thick padding that’s on the top of the headband. The same thing goes with the ear pads on the ear cups. Because they’re using nice sports material on the outside very very soft and plush inside pleather line so you kind of lock that sound. So, if we are going to wear these for long periods, we really don’t have to worry so much about sweating and them getting hot.
The ear cushions are plenty big to fit any ear size fits perfectly fine, and it covers my ears fully. But they are a little shallow and my ears do touch the inside of the
drivers. but we don’t have to worry about it. Because there is nice plush padding outside the drivers, and it doesn’t pinch or hurt the ears at all.

When it comes to the clamping force it felt like they clamped just enough where it didn’t feel like while we are using it. Of course, it is another advantage of the light weight of the headset. So, they are not going to fall off and they also were not uncomfortable with the clamping force of the headset. That will be good, especially if you have a bigger head or glasses and there is no pressure on my frames whatsoever.
When you combine all that, the plush ear cushions, the lightweight, the adjustability, the soft headband, no pressure points, ears aren’t getting hot, it’s not hurting the top of the head, as far as the clamping force in the weight of the headset these bring great comfort to this Razer BlackShark V2 Pro gaming headset. If you just put these on your head like you don’t want to take them off.
06. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Controls
The controls of this gaming headset are pretty simple. There’s only one knob on the left ear cup side and that allows for your volume control. Behind the left ear cup, we have the power button and then we have your mic mute button and mic active button. Below that we can see a charging port and we can charge this headset while you’re using it.

This is not an infinity wheel. So, we can wheel it to the max to low, and then right in the middle, you have this nice little bump in the wheel. That lets us know that we did max or low volume half of the way there in the wheel. This is a really cool touch and an advantage for saving the battery life by staying at 50% volume.
So, everything right there is on the left ear cup which makes it really easy. If you are going to use the included 3.5-millimeter cables so if you do want to use these wired that input is also on the left ear cup as well. Then we have a microphone port for the detachable microphone.

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless does have 50-millimeter drivers with a frequency range of 12 to 28 000. They’re using what Razer calls their Triforce drivers which is basically a single driver that’s trying to emulate having three drivers.

It’s got like a chamber for each different sound. So, the first one that’s kind of handling base, the second one that’s handling the mids, and then the third one that’s handling the treble. So, this driver style is helpful to keep these from sounding muddy or congested and trying to give you the most out of each frequency.
08. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Sound Quality
The sound quality is what absolutely makes the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless worth it. When the headset delivers the sounds by combining that Triforce drivers as I mentioned before where everything’s being able to get tuned by itself and that frequency of the headset put it together, we have some awesome sound, and an absolute pleasure to use with that sound. This goes across every single device and even with 3.5 into the Xbox controller, you still got that really awesome crisp sound.
The big feature here is how good the bass sounds. The bass sound is punchy and accurate as sounds, and it’s not as overly done as it is in a lot of Razer headsets. It is a very nice natural headphone quality bass. The headset’s main focus is on the mids and highs. Because that’s important with gaming. So, we can hear dialogue clearly but also able to hear footsteps and the direction in which the enemies are coming when we are playing shooting games. This headset absolutely nails it.

Another benefit to having a sound like this is it sounds great with music as well. So, no matter what genre we listen to we are going to be able to hear a lot of detail with a lot of clarity. When we listen to music with these, we can feel the bass was very punchy and it was a lot more accurate than out of a Razer gaming headset. Then the treble is tuned in a way where there’s so much clarity.
We can use this gaming headsets no matter what we were using them for. The best feature of the actual sound is the sound stage and the sound imaging. They sound very open, and they do such a good job of picking apart where sounds are coming from which obviously is important in a gaming headset.
09. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Surround Sound
These are THX certified, so it does have 7.1 surround sound which is a bit different from other headsets that have 7.1 surround sound. Because headsets have two speakers that are trying to emulate, and we are having seven speakers and a subwoofer in here. So, it is to try to do is imitate that sound which in most cases is just adding a little bit of reverb to kind of give you the illusion there’s a lot of depth.

THX doesn’t take it as like another traditional gaming headset surround sound. It’s not like that where it makes everything distant and echoey and just like high-pitched, it doesn’t really do that. It just gives it more body and brings a little bit more detail out into everything that’s what it’s kind of like things with like a detail enhancer. So, it doesn’t really jack with any of your EQ settings, and it sounds really good. But again, it’s not like a surround sound but it’s a nice feature to have on.
10. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Wireless Connectivity
There is a little dongle in the box to connect the headset with wireless. This can be used on PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. There is no Xbox wirelessly, but for every other device, you can use it wirelessly. But we can go through Xbox with our 3.5 cables right into the headset and then into your controller if you got one of the newer controllers. So, if your gamer with an Xbox console you don’t have to be worried because most of us got newer controllers.
So, it is really cool so pretty much that we can use it across every single platform as a multi-platform gaming headset. But again, just so select a few you can use it wirelessly. As far as gaming, music, watching videos on YouTube, and everything like that are extensively great on every single one of those devices.

But there is another con about using it wirelessly and we had that 3.5 jack on the back of the headset. But what you can’t do here is use it wirelessly, we can’t have the 3.5 at the same time. As an example, when we are playing through the wireless on the PC or whatever device, we can’t just plug the 3.5 into our phone or whatever other device and be able to like to listen to some music. Because when we’re plugging a 3.5 it disables the wireless.
It will be great to have both wired and wireless modes at the same time. When it is talking about using the headset wirelessly, there is using Razer Hyper Speed wireless. So, we can walk around the house and different rooms with this headset while connecting to the wireless. No matter where we moved in the house and no matter whether doors are closed or open with crystal-clear audio. There is no static no fuzz even through walls.
11. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Battery Life
Speaking of the charging, the battery life of this headset can actually get up to 24 hours on a single charge which is very impressive. But it is depending on as far as which features and functions, we turn on in them throughout the software and then the volume level. That’s going to get most people through a week with the single charging.

But If you do game for longer sessions, it can easily get you through a few days. If we put the headset to the charging when we are not playing the games with the headset, we don’t have to need to worry about the longer gaming sessions. But as I mentioned above we can charge this headset while we using it.
12. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Microphone
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless has a detachable microphone with a windscreen. Razer didn’t make this microphone solely use as a gaming microphone. When we are using the microphone, we can feel like this microphone is an excellent all-around microphone to use especially on music.

As far as the quality of the microphone, Razer does an excellent job with what they call their Hyper Clear Super Cardioid microphone. It is not just kind of a fancy name. Because it’s a cardioid mic that’s focusing more on representing the voice sounds and it does a really good job of picking up bass tones. If we are in a noisy environment it’s trying to block out some of that noise.
13. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: Synapse Software
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless does have Razer’s synapse software which will have to do on your PC or your Mac. Razer Synapse Software gives you some different EQ settings as far as your sound goes. It also gives you control over some different features with the microphone as well. When we select our Razer headset on the Razer Synapse Software, on the first page obviously we have the volume which we can control the volume by a slider right on the PC or on the headset.
Then we the mixer section. There is a THX spatial sound or in other words the surround sound of the headset. We can adjust this whole thing over the software. There are two options in THX spatial sound. That is Auto which let the active application determine the spatialization mode and Manual we can set a mode for each application Manually.
Next, we the enhancements section. here we have Bass Boost where we can boost up the bass. When it brings the bass all the way up to the high it does start getting a little bit muddy. The bass starts taking over everything again it’s not ear shake and hard-hitting bass. it’s just full-body bass. Then we have sound normalization, and it can just bring out the highs a little bit more. If you prefer highs to be a little bit more potent than the bass, this is a great option in the software.

Next, we have shot voice clarity last on that side. This brings out the highs way too much and then drops your bass down. So maybe if you’re playing a competitive game this might be helpful. We also have the EQ adjustment on another side of the page.
There are 5 different basic presets, and all these sounded decent. Those are Default which is flat, Game, Movie, Music, and Custom. So, by looking at the names of these presets, it is easy to understand what these are good for. If you like to make your own EQ adjustment you can choose custom.
Then we have the Microphone section. There are two sliders to adjust the mic volume and voice gate. Then there are mic enhancements with 3 options, volume normalization, Vocal clarity, and Ambient Noise Reduction. Then Mic Equalizer with 5 different presets for the microphone. These are Default, Mic Boost, Broadcast, Conference, and Custom.
Then we also have another slider for mic monitoring in other words sidetone. It is the feather that how you’re going to hear yourself talking into your mic. Finally, we have power saving which will turn off by itself. We can adjust the time there. Finally, we can say in the Razer Synapse Software there is so much adjustability to take the next level the software.
Verdict
Nowadays not only gamers but also most people choose wireless gaming headsets over wired headsets just because of the convenience. So, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless is one of the best when it comes to wireless gaming headsets. Because the microphones can be just as good as a wired headset.
This headset is aimed more at people that don’t care about having overpowering bass but like to be able to use their gaming headset as their headset for listening to music. So finally, we can say this is a great all-around headset. Razer just nailed it with this Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless gaming headset.
